Sora eBrary

With Sora, you can get free ebooks and audiobooks from your school.

Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or go to soraapp.com.
In Sora, find our school (Texas Region 2--Orange Grove--Student ID), then sign in.
Browse the Explore tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away.
Close the book and go to your Shelf to see all your books. From there, you can:
Tap Open Book or Open Audiobook to read or listen to the book.
Tap Options to renew or return the book, get to your notes and highlights, and more.

Spotlight Readers

Check out our weekly Spotlight Readers.

Spotlight Readers are chosen by their teachers based on their excellent classroom and library behavior as well as their desire to grow as readers! Students selected as Spotlight Readers get to visit the library and choose a special book to read aloud to the school during morning announcements!

Texas Bluebonnet Books

The Texas Bluebonnet Award is one of the most prestigious children’s choice literary awards in the United States. Each year, 20 books are chosen for the Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List. Schools and libraries around the state participate in the program, encouraging students to read a minimum of five books from the list. In January, students vote for their favorite title. The author of the book receiving the most votes wins the Texas Bluebonnet Award (TBA).

Library Policies

Primary:

Kinders may check out 1 book at a time. First and second graders may check out 2 books at a time. While students will come back to the library in a week's time, library books will not be considered overdue until 10 school days after checkout.

Elementary:

Students may check out 2 library books at a time. All books are due 10 days after checkout.

Junior High:

Students may check out 2 library books at a time. All books are due 10 days after checkout.

High School:

Students may check out 3 library materials at a time. All books are due 10 days after checkout.

*All Schools:

Students are financially responsible for damaged and lost books.

Due to staffing shortages, all district libraries will experience various closures throughout the school week. In addition to scheduled closures, unannounced closures are possible at any time. We appreciate your patience.
